ACME Group signed an agreement with the Government of Tamil Nadu to set up a green hydrogen and green ammonia project in the State of Tamil Nadu.

The initial agreement with the State Government was signed in presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru M K Stalin during the Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave.

The project entails an investment of Rs 52,474 crore and will be set up at the port town of Thoothukudi.

The project will comprise 5,000 mw of solar PV plant, 1.5 GW of the electrolyzer and 1.1 million tonnes of ammonia synthesis loop.

The green hydrogen and ammonia produced in the plant will help in decarbonising the fertilizers, power, refining and steel sectors
